Following the announcement on 18th October 2009 concerning the appointment of Revd Nick Shutt as Rector we have a further announcement to make about the provision of ordained ministry in the benefice for the coming period in respect of the appointment of a Stipendiary Team Vicar.
Nick and the Bishop have been in conversation for some weeks concerning the appointment of a stipendiary Team Vicar and following a consultation with the Parish Representatives they are pleased to announce the appointment of Revd Nicola Hunt as Team Vicar in the Benefice. The appointment will be for an initial period of five years. Nicola is currently the Vicar of Ugborough and Ermington where an announcement is being made today concerning her move to the West Dartmoor Benefice.
Nicola will start work with us at Easter 2010.
I am sure you will join with me in welcoming Nicola to the Benefice and working with her in the future.
